Danielle Bould
Founder | Artistic DirectorDanielle started her early ballet training with Sieskaya Ballet. She was then fortunate enough to be chosen as one of 12 dancers, a very talented and prestigious group, to train under Maggie Black. Known to generations of dancers as “black magic.”
Another highlight of Danielle’s training career would be working with David Howard-Personally chosen by Mr. Howard to train in semi-private classes and featured with him in Pointe Magazine. She was accepted into and trained amongst some of the most acclaimed ballet programs throughout the country and London.
School of America Ballet, American Ballet Theatre New York, The Julliard School, The Kirov, and Royal Ballet School. Some of her professional performances include being personally chosen by Kat Wildish (Ballet Dancer with NYC Ballet and American ballet theatre) to perform in her production of Le Corsaire in Lincoln Center, The Ajkun Ballet Theatre - Original Works performed at City Center, TriBeCa Theatre-Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.
After finishing a successful professional career Danielle was ready to begin her next chapter. She took a career transition for dancers workshop lead by Mikhail Baryshnikov and Brook Shields. Being that she loved children and had passion for sharing her love of ballet with others it became quite apparent that teaching would be an obvious new career choice.
Danielle believes passing down her love of the art form, knowledge and experience to the next generation of dancers has been one of her greatest achievements.
Lorna received her professional training at the School of American Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre School. Throughout her career, she has performed with numerous renowned companies and productions, including the New York City Opera, Philadelphia Lyric Opera, Radio City Music Hall, Bridgeport Ballet, New Haven Ballet, Wolf Trap Theater and The Liberace Show, as well as with her own company, Zawacki Ballet.
Most recently, Lorna participated in The Bolshoi Project, directed by Jeff Calhoun at the Tisch School of the Arts. She also coaches ballet, competition and ballroom dancers throughout Long Island.
Lorna’s ballet classes emphasize strong core engagement, meticulous footwork, proper turnout and pirouette technique. Her instruction helps dancers develop the strength, control and fluidity needed to move with both precision and artistry.
