Our Mission

To produce superior dancers and exemplary individuals while in a caring, wholesome, and supportive environment. Cultivating technique, artistry, and versatility all while preserving classical traditions and encouraging new works.

Our Philosophy

At Northport Academy of Ballet, training is rooted in discipline, structure, and a deep respect for the art form. We believe classical ballet should be taught with intention, preserving its integrity, beauty, and tradition while guiding each dancer toward technical excellence.

In a culture where boundaries are often pushed too early, we are committed to maintaining the innocence and purity of ballet. Our studio provides a space where children are allowed to grow at the appropriate pace, developing confidence, strength, and artistry without compromise.

We foster an environment of kindness, respect, and accountability, where dancers not only build strong technique, but also learn how to carry themselves with grace both inside and outside of the studio.

Danielle Bould, Artistic Director

Danielle started her early ballet training with Sieskaya Ballet. She was then fortunate enough to be chosen as one of 12 dancers, a very talented and prestigious group, to train under Maggie Black. Known to generations of dancers as “black magic.”

Another highlight of Danielle’s training career would be working with David Howard-Personally chosen by Mr. Howard to train in semi-private classes and featured with him in Pointe Magazine. She was accepted into and trained amongst some of the most acclaimed ballet programs throughout the country and London.

School of America Ballet, American Ballet Theatre New York, The Julliard School, The Kirov, and Royal Ballet School. Some of her professional performances include being personally chosen by Kat Wildish (Ballet Dancer with NYC Ballet and American ballet theatre) to perform in her production of Le Corsaire in Lincoln Center, The Ajkun Ballet Theatre - Original Works performed at City Center, TriBeCa Theatre-Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.

After finishing a successful professional career Danielle was ready to begin her next chapter. She took a career transition for dancers workshop lead by Mikhail Baryshnikov and Brook Shields. Being that she loved children and had passion for sharing her love of ballet with others it became quite apparent that teaching would be an obvious new career choice.

Danielle believes passing down her love of the art form, knowledge and experience to the next generation of dancers has been one of her greatest achievements.
